Description

Seeking a Technical Business Analyst who can bridge business, data, technology, and vendor teams. You will assess current-state workflows and data usage, translate findings into clear requirements, and ensure vendors understand future-state capabilities and data requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and document current-state business workflows, processes, data usage, and reporting needs.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to uncover requirements and validate assumptions.
  • Translate business needs into functional, technical, data, and reporting requirements suitable for vendor consumption.
  • Identify data sources, inputs/outputs, integrations, handoffs, and downstream dependencies.
  • Document business rules, data definitions, process gaps, exceptions, and future-state requirements.
  • Challenge and test assumptions, identify gaps, and drive questions to resolution.
  • Support vendor evaluation by determining whether proposed solutions meet documented business and technical requirements.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and support clarification through design, implementation, and testing.
  • Partner across Product/Program Management, Architecture, Engineering/technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and Procurement.

Requirements

  • Strong business analysis and requirements elicitation capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze complex workflows, data flows, integrations, and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills, including process flows, functional requirements, data requirements, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and translating internal needs into vendor-ready requirements.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited initial documentation.
  • Healthcare payer experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with payer business processes, data, and reporting.
  • Experience with healthcare data domains such as member/enrollment, provider, claims, benefits, authorization/utilization management, clinical, financial, or operational data.
