Strategy and execution

  • Define and execute the TDP SQL strategy and roadmap aligned with broader data-platform and cloud-infrastructure goals.

  • Convert enterprise, product, and platform requirements into measurable outcomes, milestones, and engineering plans.

  • Surface risks, cross-team dependencies, and capacity constraints early; clarify required trade-offs.

  • Lead responses to material incidents and ensure lessons produce durable improvements.

  • Ensure support for enterprise needs: data residency, encryption, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and regulated environments.

  • Maintain visibility into customer commitments and intervene when reliability or delivery risks threaten outcomes.

Technical and platform leadership

  • Partner with senior technical leaders on architectural direction and technical decisions.

  • Guide evolution across multiple cloud providers and specialized operating environments.

  • Ensure designs cover scalability, tenant isolation, migration safety, security, operability, and reversibility.

  • Balance delivery with platform simplification, lifecycle management, and reduced operational burden.

  • Establish technical and operational contracts with dependent infrastructure and customer teams.

Cross-functional leadership and economics

  • Build trusted partnerships across product, engineering, security, compliance, reliability, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams.

  • Resolve dependencies with explicit owners, acceptance criteria, and delivery dates.

  • Represent TDP SQL in engineering reviews, leadership forums, operational reviews, and portfolio planning.

  • Own platform cost posture: infrastructure efficiency, demand forecasting, unit economics, and cost attribution.

  • Prioritize customer trust, strategic platform value, and sustainable cost efficiency in investment decisions.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with base pay ranges; role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

  • Health and wellbeing resources, paid volunteer days, and additional perks.
