Description

You will work on a mature data stack that powers data-driven decisions across the business, including web tracking and the full e-commerce customer journey data. The job includes building and modeling data in Snowflake with dbt, producing reports in Amazon QuickSight, and acting as the central contact for reporting requirements. You will also contribute to data governance, security, and compliance (DSGVO/GDPR) while collaborating with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analyses that support business decisions

• Work with the modern data stack: data in Snowflake, modeling with dbt, reporting in Amazon QuickSight

• Integrate data from multiple sources (POS, sales, movement data, web tracking, and e-commerce data across the customer journey: product listing → cart → payment → usage)

• Own and refine reporting requirements and help evolve a complex data model

• Collaborate with internal developers and external partners to improve data-driven outcomes for business teams

• Support colleagues with tailored reports and guidance

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect (ideally in web/app product environments; e-commerce experience is valuable)

• Strong capability with complex SQL queries

• dbt knowledge and Git experience (Git is desirable)

• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker (Amazon QuickSight is used)

• Knowledge of data governance, security requirements, and compliance (DSGVO/GDPR)

• Excellent communication in German (at least C1) and English, with a solution-oriented, team-based approach

• Ability to discuss technical details with service providers/partners and support colleagues in data analysis

• Structured working style, effective prioritization, and experience with Jira or Asana
