Description

You will modernize long-developed C++ platforms to create a more secure, modern, and sustainable technological foundation in line with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The work is driven by systematic software analysis using SBOM, dependency scanning, SAST/DAST, and related tools, producing technical modernization requirements such as dependency upgrades, refactoring, and code adjustments for newer component versions. You will also integrate long-separated product branches back into the main development line and handle breaking changes and integration issues.

Responsibilities

  • Refactor and modernize existing C++ code

  • Upgrade or replace older libraries and dependencies

  • Address technical findings from SBOM, SAST/DAST, and dependency analyses

  • Integrate product-specific branches back into trunk/mainline and resolve breaking changes

  • Stabilize, debug, and test changes before CRA-related product-specific releases

  • Work in a C++ development environment with product-specific toolchain and ecosystem

Requirements

  • Very good C++17 skills

  • Git proficiency

  • Debugging experience

  • Ability to understand and safely change a complex existing system

  • 3+ years of C++ experience

  • Knowledge of modern C++ standards

  • Experience with design patterns and/or SOLID principles

  • Plus (advantage): larger C++ codebases, refactoring, dependency upgrades, Git branching/merging, CI/CD, or static/security analysis

  • Cybersecurity experience: not mandatory
