Description

Build highly scalable, resilient backend services that power protection and recovery of customer data at scale. Gradually take ownership of services written in Rust while modernizing critical platform capabilities and contributing to the growth of a Rust codebase.

Responsibilities

• Learn, contribute to, and gradually take ownership of services developed in Rust
• Participate in modernization of existing platform capabilities and architecture
• Design and implement scalable APIs and distributed system components
• Help define and deliver valuable, testable, and maintainable user stories
• Write high-quality, well-tested code supported by automated unit and integration tests
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production and performance issues
• Contribute to performance optimization, reliability improvements, and system scalability initiatives
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple teams to deliver strategic platform enhancements
• Create and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• Strong professional experience developing software in C++
• Interest and willingness to learn and work extensively with Rust
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and modern development practices
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable, high-performance applications
• Strong knowledge of design principles and patterns, including SOLID and test-driven development practices
• Experience working with distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native applications
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing)
• Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security fundamentals
• Experience working with relational databases and data persistence technologies
• Familiarity with REST APIs and modern service-oriented architectures
• Containerized environments and cloud platforms experience is a plus
