Description

Lead complex Agile projects for an eCommerce team, supporting productivity goals in collaboration with the Programme Manager/Account Director. Manage multiple workstreams and interdependencies, handle blockers and escalations, and provide accurate milestone/deliverable/risk status reporting to stakeholders. Contribute to improving delivery processes and support junior project managers.

Responsibilities

• Run complex projects using Agile methodologies
• Resolve issues and blockers to support smooth workstream flow
• Produce status reporting on milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues for stakeholders and sponsors
• Manage several workstreams and ensure output/quality expectations are clear
• Coordinate interdependencies across workstreams
• Lead and inspire teams, including coaching when Agile experience is limited
• Motivate delivery of individual and team objectives within agreed timeframes
• Improve delivery processes and provide support to Junior Project Managers
• Review and update the project resource plan and maintain budget control
• Build credibility with senior management and business stakeholders
• Set and manage client expectations and handle escalations diplomatically
• Chair meetings/reviews with multi-stakeholder requirements
• Stay current with emerging industry practices

Requirements

• Proven software development Project Management experience
• eCommerce experience (ideally in retail)
• Hands-on experience with web content management (CMS) or Digital Experience Platform (DXP) projects
• Experience managing requirements for content architecture, page templates, component libraries, editorial/publishing workflows, or content migrations
• Proven experience managing re-platforming projects and owning cutover
• Proven scope control in project delivery
• Experience working on eCommerce platform projects delivering change to external stakeholders
• Experience working on Content and Experience projects
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and release management
• Ability to define, manage, and deliver customer expectations under strict deadlines
• Ability to handle ambiguity and respond to change
• Experience leading and managing teams across their lifecycle stages
• Experience with modern software development practices
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery and lean ways of working
• Experience managing people and financial budgets (budgeting, monitoring, reporting)
• Solid time management and organisational skills
• Excellent negotiation skills with tact and diplomacy
• Relevant Project Management qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
