Description

Design, build, test, and deploy AI solutions that support business use cases—from initial concept through production and operational support. Develop AI use case components (applications, services, automations), integrate required data pipelines, and embed AI into business/technology environments via APIs and integrations. Apply prompt and model engineering to optimize solutions, evaluate performance, and support deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI solutions for business use cases

• Develop AI application components, services, and automations

• Build and integrate data pipelines and data sources with data teams

• Design and implement integrations, APIs, and other integration mechanisms to embed AI into business and technology environments

• Use prompt engineering and model engineering to develop, test, and optimize AI solutions

• Evaluate models/prompts and validate approaches for reliability, effectiveness, and fit for purpose

• Create automated workflows to improve business processes and operational efficiency

• Collaborate with AI architects and technical teams to deliver production-ready solutions

• Support deployment and transition into operational environments (deployment artefacts, technical documentation, handover materials)

• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for AI solutions; resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement

• Develop reusable AI engineering patterns, approaches, and assets

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role

• Demonstrable experience designing, building, testing, and deploying AI solutions in enterprise/complex environments

• Strong hands-on experience developing AI applications and integrating AI capabilities into existing applications and business processes

• Strong experience with Co Pilot

• Proven experience with data integration and working with structured and/or unstructured data

• Demonstrable experience in prompt engineering and/or model engineering, including evaluation and optimization

• Experience working with APIs and application integration in enterprise technology environments

• Experience taking AI solutions from proof of concept through to production deployment and operational support

• Strong software engineering and programming skills; develop maintainable, production-quality code

• Experience with cloud-based AI technologies and modern AI development platforms

• Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle management (development, testing, deployment, monitoring, continuous improvement)

• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
