Description

You will be the first technical point of contact and take ownership of the platform’s software architecture during a complete technology rebuild. You will ensure top-tier quality so the ERP platform can scale with growth, while applying AI tools pragmatically and leading a small engineering team. You report directly to leadership and shape technical decisions without corporate bureaucracy.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the software architecture (DDD, Clean Architecture)

• Drive scalability, quality, and security for the ERP platform

• Evaluate and steer technology/tools and define the technical roadmap

• Advance CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

• Use AI coding assistants and identify automation opportunities; integrate future topics such as RAG

• Establish quality processes: code reviews and testing standards that scale

• Lead and mentor a small team; align engineers on DDD and CI/CD

• Optimize collaboration processes (Scrum/Kanban) and maintain clear workflows

• Coordinate interfaces with external partners and connect development, product, and management

• Translate technical realities into strategic decisions with management

Requirements

• Several years of software development experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leading role with architecture responsibility

• Practical architecture expertise including Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Experience developing web-based application software (ideally in business domains such as ERP, CRM, or accounting)

• Object-oriented programming experience, ideally .NET/C#

• Experience with Angular & React, and with MS SQL Server & PostgreSQL

• Experience with CI/CD and automated tests

• Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and ability to assess benefits and limitations

• Leadership experience and ability to provide technical mentoring

• Hands-on KMU mindset: help solve bugs, speak with customers, and communicate regularly with management

• Pragmatism and confidence to make decisions and defend them with management

• Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2)
