Description

Work directly with clients to drive and fulfill P&C Insurance business requirements for full system implementations within Guidewire InsuranceNow. Lead requirements organization, planning and monitoring, requirements analysis and simplification, support QA testing, and guide requirements configuration in InsuranceNow Studio. Help project teams deliver clear business requirements and problem statements from inception through installation.

Responsibilities

• Consult with client business and technical resources to lead business requirements and functional design documents

• Manage and advise on requirements throughout project implementations

• Mentor others on managing project implementation across the implementation cycle

• Identify unclear expectations and communicate issues or business problems to leadership

• Advocate for the product implementation methodology

• Design and estimate business solutions for product gaps and enhancements

• Work with customer and partner resources to understand objectives and requirements

• Track work time and ensure accurate billable time reporting

• Support QA testing of system deliverables when needed

• Conduct customer demos and system presentations during implementations and releases

• Advise on stakeholder feedback and gain stakeholder alignment where necessary

• Escalate scope changes and customizations

• Communicate issues clearly to widely varied audiences

• Serve as the business point of contact aligning project management, engineering, product development, and cross-functional teams

• Identify risks and coach on resolution, escalating as necessary

• Lead requirements understanding, data collection, analysis, problem resolution, and process improvement recommendations

Requirements

• 3+ years of business analyst experience

• 3+ years of P&C Insurance experience

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience

• Cross-functional experience including geographically distributed teams

• Strong communication and analytical skills (verbal and written)

• Strong work ethic and ability to self-start

• Strong knowledge of agile software development and iterative development principles

• Basic understanding of insurance concepts and ability to communicate on insurance topics

• Ability to assess and manage risks and communicate appropriately

• Preferred: experience communicating with and managing expectations of internal/external executive stakeholders

• Preferred: experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal teams, customers, and partner organizations

• Strong self-starter with desire to grow in insurance business knowledge

• Strong presentation skills with PowerPoint/Google Slides experience required

• Travel up to 25% may be required

• Base salary range: $108,000 - $192,000 (depending on experience, skills, education, training, and location)
