Description

You will conduct fundamental research to formulate and recommend equity semiconductor investments, partnering with portfolio managers as the industry expert for security selection across multiple portfolio mandates.

The role requires building financial models and forecasts, providing actionable company and industry insights, and communicating recommendations to internal stakeholders. You will also manage a “best ideas” US and international sector portfolio (as part of a team).

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and recommend equity semiconductor investments based on fundamental research

  • Collaborate with other sector analysts, regional teams, and portfolio managers

  • Provide industry insight, company-specific analysis, and actionable stock recommendations

  • Manage a “best ideas” US and international sector portfolio for communication of ideas and trades to PMs

  • Construct and maintain financial models and forecasts

  • Communicate and present research, ideas, and updates to portfolio managers

  • Maintain regular contact with company management teams and industry sources (publications, sell-side analysts)

  • Participate in internal and external due diligence meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA and/or CFA preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in an investment management organization (preferably relevant asset class) or financial services environment

  • 5+ years of experience as a research analyst, preferably in semiconductors

  • Strong demonstrated performance

  • Bloomberg experience

  • Advanced Excel and modeling skills
