Description

Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) powers millions of container tasks daily, and its customer-facing developer interfaces flow through the ECS Developer Surfaces layer. The ECS Developer Platforms team builds the APIs and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) coverage that enable ECS capabilities via customer configuration and deployment. In this role, you will design, build, and operate the API and IaC surfaces that hundreds of thousands of AWS customers depend on, working across Java, TypeScript, and Go.

Responsibilities

• Design and build customer-facing API endpoints and IaC resource providers (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform) for ECS feature launches.
• Collaborate with ECS backend teams and AWS-wide IaC teams to co-design API contracts, resource models, and release plans.
• Own internal platform tooling such as feature flag systems, automated testing pipelines, and deployment safety mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and author API and IaC design documents that define the developer experience.
• Investigate operational issues through on-call rotations and root cause analysis; drive fixes that improve reliability and performance.
