Description

Citizens Banker (Customer Service & Sales Banker) serves as the face of the branch by building lasting customer relationships and providing trusted advice. You’ll recommend and assist customers with financial solutions across spending, saving, borrowing, and investing, introduce digital and mobile-first banking options, and collaborate with partners for complex needs. You’ll also make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments while following all financial policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trusted recommendations and customer support for financial solutions
  • Understand customer goals and recommend tailored options (e.g., future planning, home buying, credit cards)
  • Introduce customers to the bank’s app and ATM/digital workflows
  • Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking partners
  • Make outbound calls to acquire customers and schedule checkup appointments
  • Follow cash handling procedures, state/local laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • 2 years of sales and customer service experience; ability to meet or exceed goals
  • Ability to ask questions and identify needs to improve customer relationships
  • Proven ability to build relationships and recommend/referral of products and services via in-person and phone
  • Demonstrated skills using digital technology to support business goals
  • Aptitude to problem-solve and resolve customer issues
  • Ability to strengthen relationships through collaboration with teammates and partners
  • Self-motivated, confident, and able to multitask effectively
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Meet and comply with SAFE Act requirements (including pre-employment screening and obtaining an NMLS unique identifier)
