Description

Citizens Bankers are the face of the branch, building lasting customer relationships by offering trusted financial advice. In this role, you’ll use communication and problem-solving skills along with financial knowledge to recommend solutions for customers’ spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs. You’ll also introduce digital and mobile-first banking options, collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking partners, and make outbound calls to acquire customers and schedule financial checkup appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations and assist customers with tailored financial solutions

  • Understand customer financial goals and recommend actions such as future planning, home buying, and credit card options

  • Introduce customers to digital and mobile banking channels (app, ATMs)

  • Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking partners for complex needs

  • Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments

  • Follow all financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling and applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED

  • 2 years of sales and customer service experience; ability to meet or exceed goals

  • Ability to ask effective questions and identify needs to improve customer relationships

  • Proven success building relationships and recommending/referring products and services in-person and by phone

  • Demonstrated skills using digital technology to support business goals

  • Ability to problem solve and provide solutions for customer issues

  • Recognized ability to strengthen relationships through collaboration with teammates and partners

  • Self-motivated, confident, and able to multitask effectively

  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings

  • Meet and comply with all SAFE Act requirements, including pre-employment screening and obtaining an NMLS unique identifier
