Description

In this role, you coordinate CE marking responsibilities in accordance with the Machinery Directive/Regulation and ensure norm-compliant development of high-tech systems. You conduct risk assessments, evaluate safety-relevant functions, and create and review functional safety documentation (e.g., DIN EN 13849, SISTEMA, DIN EN 60204-1). You act as the point of contact for functional safety and product safety during the development phase and coordinate CE-related documents with engineering and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and consolidate all CE-relevant documents with Construction, Electrical Engineering, and Project teams
  • Perform risk assessments and support the assessment of safety-related functions
  • Create and assess functional safety documentation (e.g., DIN EN 13849, SISTEMA, DIN EN 60204-1)
  • Serve as contact for functional safety and product safety during development
  • Develop internal CE and standards processes and standards
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and external partners on safety-related topics
  • Actively shape safe, standards-compliant development of special-purpose high-tech equipment

Requirements

  • Technical background (degree or comparable qualification) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • Experience in mechanical engineering or plant/system construction (design, automation, commissioning, or development)
  • Knowledge of CE marking, Machinery Directive/Regulation, or functional safety
  • Technical understanding of the interaction between mechanics, electrical systems, and control
  • Structured working style and strong quality awareness
  • Communication skills and teamwork
  • German C1 and English at least B1
  • Preferred: experience with DIN EN 13849, SISTEMA, and risk assessments
  • Preferred: additional standards knowledge such as DIN EN 60204-1 or SEMI
