Description

You will develop and modernize procedures and tools for z/OS application development and help automate the software lifecycle through standardized handover/transfer processes with Production teams. You will also create and optimize concepts and documentation, prepare technical specifications and pre-studies, and train users of host development tools. You will contribute to cross-functional tasks and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize procedures and tools for z/OS application development
• Develop and document handover/transfer processes for z/OS systems in coordination with Production to automate the software lifecycle
• Create and keep up to date concepts and optimize procedures
• Produce comprehensive technical concepts and preliminary studies
• Conduct trainings for users of host development tools
• Support cross-departmental assignments

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent education
• Minimum 6 years of domain-relevant professional experience
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, ISPF, JCL, Db2, and REXX
• Cobol knowledge or willingness to acquire Cobol skills
• Good English language skills
• Independent, solution-oriented working style with strong initiative, creativity, and communication skills
• Teamwork and social competence; curiosity and motivation to learn new topics and actively shape change
