Description

Lead and support design efforts for plant modifications related to power uprate, including moisture separator reheaters, heater drain tank pump motors, and setpoint and instrumentation changes. Perform and verify engineering analyses and calculations (electrical and mechanical), act as a frontline design checker for internal and external deliverables, and coordinate with equipment vendors, architect-engineering firms, and plant personnel. Utilize ETAP for electrical, ANSYS for mechanical, and Staad or Stroodle for civil, and support early-stage procurement evaluations and compliance updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in nuclear plant design or a highly regulated design environment
• Familiarity with the nuclear industry's standardized design process (post-2018 implementation)
• Strong analytical skills and experience with engineering analysis tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work across teams and disciplines
• Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness in solving complex design challenges
• Must be eligible for unescorted access to a nuclear facility
