Description

As a senior claims specialist, you’ll play a critical role in successfully and efficiently resolving injury claims. You will investigate complex and high-risk claims—possibly attorney represented or with additional litigation features—and consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants, and others involved in the accident. The information gathered will be used while determining coverage, liability, and the total value of the claim.

Hybrid work expectations

This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration, and you can work in the office more than four days per month if preferred.

• Investigate complex and high-risk injury claims
• Consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants, and others involved in accidents
• Determine coverage, liability, and total claim value using gathered information

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling OR
• Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR
• Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree

Preferred Skills

• Build rapport and effect settlements quickly
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and problem-solving; ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Proficiency analyzing coverage and liability
• Ability to direct discovery tools such as interrogatories, depositions, and production of documents
• Experience handling Auto Litigation claims

Compensation

Based on location and level of experience.

• Anchorage, AK: $80,000 - $105,000/year
• Honolulu, HI: $74,000 - $95,000/year

Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
