Description

Play a key role in driving innovation across an intelligent, connected product portfolio by leading electrical hardware design efforts from concept through production and influencing technical direction for future products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical hardware design and development of new products and major enhancements; serve as technical lead for PCB and circuit design activities.
  • Architect, design, and validate analog and digital electronic systems for embedded products and smart sensing technologies.
  • Drive product development from concept through production, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute design verification, validation, and compliance testing for standards including UL, CSA, CE, EMC, and FM.
  • Partner with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers to integrate electrical systems into robust, high-quality products.
  • Define production test methodologies and support manufacturing fixtures, validation tools, and test procedures.
  • Lead technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex product and component issues.
  • Provide expert-level support for sustaining engineering and product improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to project planning, technical risk assessments, schedules, and design reviews.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers; foster engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing electronic products with a strong emphasis on hardware and PCB design.
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept through product launch and ongoing support.
  • Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and system integration.
  • Experience designing hardware for embedded systems using microcontrollers and microprocessors (ARM, 8-bit, 16-bit, or similar architectures).
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic development and PCB layout.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory and test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and environmental testing tools).
  • Experience debugging and prototyping embedded electronic systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-disciplinary technical collaboration and influence.
