Senior Digital Engineering & R&D Consultant with German

Your Tasks

Today’s market requirements pose major challenges for tomorrow’s engineering. The development of complex products must be made more efficient and flexible at the same time. Teams must work together in a decentralized and interdisciplinary manner to implement new business models through product innovations at short notice.

In this context, advise customers in the following areas to establish the necessary changes in technology, methodology, and culture:

• Engineering transformation: strategy, processes, methods, and change management
• Strategy and transformation for product lifecycle management (PLM/PDM) and digital continuity topics, including digital twin
• Software and systems engineering
• Design, simulation, and verification
• Cross-functional engineering collaboration across R&D, manufacturing, sales, and procurement
• Cost-efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives across engineering and R&D processes

Your Profile

• 6+ years of practical project experience in engineering, particularly in the automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, energy utility, or life sciences industries
• Experience in partial project management of complex transformation projects in an engineering environment
• Degree in engineering, IT, natural sciences, or a related field
• Comprehensive knowledge of product development and its core processes
• Experience in strategy and organizational development in engineering
• Consulting experience in the design, optimization, and implementation of product-development processes
• Ability to identify and drive measurable cost reduction across the product lifecycle
• Knowledge of engineering IT and virtual product development
• Knowledge of relevant product lifecycle management (PLM) topics
• Ability to combine technological understanding, strategic analysis, conceptual thinking, and implementation-oriented work
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent English and solid German skills
