Description

DoorDash is looking for an Engineering Manager with strong product sense to oversee building out transportation and logistics strategies for long-distance deliveries across the US, enabling “mid-mile” transportation and logistics systems for third-party businesses. The role spans zero-to-one initiatives and scaling mid-maturity businesses, covering mobile, backend, and web components, including integration with external transportation aggregators and development of an in-house TMS. The team’s goal is industry-leading logistics capabilities that support delivering items anywhere in a city and across the US.

Role Description

  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, and development for a team growing to 8+ engineers across Android, FullStack and Backend
  • Own the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team
  • Collaborate with business and engineering leaders to understand business needs and formulate them into a world-class product
  • Engage with key internal business stakeholders to define the roadmap and vision
  • Partner with analytics and data counterparts to measure impact and success of products and features delivered
