Description

Reporting across all ISC Engineering functions to organize, lead, and deliver end-to-end (E2E) projects for industrialization of new product introductions (NPIs), large capital investment projects, and/or significant modernization projects spanning concept through full manufacturing validation and operational handoff.

For NPD Projects: core team member aligning R&D, Business Units, and Operations to translate innovation into robust, compliant, and manufacturable solutions on time, within budget, meeting quality and safety standards.

For Non-NPD Projects: core team leader for cross-functional delivery of end-to-end projects.

Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities

  • Work across ISC Engineering functions to horizontally align technical talent to projects while partnering with Business Units and functional leaders for delivery excellence.
  • Provide E2E project execution from concept development, design transfer, equipment procurement, installation, qualification, and validation across assigned manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure commitments are met for cost, schedule, scope, performance, quality, regulatory, and safety.
  • Use enterprise-standard governance frameworks including Stage-gate process (IGRS, harmonized with GPDS).
  • Serve as project escalation point for complex technical, operational, or organizational challenges.
  • Indirectly lead a cross-functional ISC team responsible for process and equipment design and implementation; engage Industrialization Services as needed.
  • Establish project execution roadmaps and timelines with clear accountability and decision-making.
  • Foster ownership, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement during execution.
  • Integrate across engineering disciplines (process, equipment, launch, and engineering services) and align leaders on right resources, skills, and capacity.
  • Strengthen partnerships with plant leadership and operations to ensure readiness, manufacturability, and sustainability.
  • Represent ISC Engineering project execution in project update forums.
  • Ensure manufacturing sites are fully prepared for new products and capital deployments, including equipment/process readiness, validation strategy and execution (IQ/OQ/PQ), documentation, training, and operational handoff.
  • Champion early design for manufacturability, standardization, and scalability to accelerate time-to-market and reduce lifecycle risk.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Provide E2E leadership through vertical ramp-up and launch to meet operational targets prior to plant handoff.
  • Report project-level KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems.
  • Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce execution risk, improve speed/cost/predictability, strengthen cross-functional integration, and apply best-in-class project management, risk management, and communication practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, program management, product development, or manufacturing operations within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Proven success leading large-scale NPI and/or large capital investment projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to indirectly lead a team of technical talent.
  • Deep knowledge of product development, equipment design and validation, and manufacturing operations.
  • Executive presence to influence, negotiate, and drive alignment across stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical technology, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Program management and CI/problem-solving certifications (PMI, CSM, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
