Product Manager, Search and AI

Mid

94,000 - 129,250 USD/yr

New York, NY

Quick Facts

  • Role: Product Manager (Emerging Experiences)
  • Scope: Core search (find markets, teams, players, events) + AceAI (AI-assisted bet-building)

Description

FanDuel is looking for a Product Manager to build search and an AI-assisted bet-building experience for its sportsbook. The role spans two connected areas: core search (query understanding, relevance, ranking, results presentation, and filtering) and AceAI, an AI-powered product that helps customers navigate betting decisions with intelligence and confidence. You will lead multiple small, autonomous pods and translate broader Advanced Search vision into well-scoped, well-executed quarterly outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple pods (engineers and AI agents) focused on specific search or AI discovery problems
  • Set direction for each pod: define the problem, own prioritization, and keep teams moving
  • Work hands-on with engineers and designers by writing clear specs, removing blockers, and driving decisions
  • Advance core search experience: query understanding, relevance, ranking, results presentation, filtering
  • Drive AceAI forward: identify where AI-assisted guidance creates value and translate it into shippable features
  • Identify user problems and opportunities via research, data analysis, and competitive review
  • Define success criteria for each pod and track outcomes post-launch objectively
  • Use A/B experimentation to validate hypotheses and drive continuous improvement
  • Leverage AI tooling and agents effectively; direct AI-assisted workflows alongside human engineers
  • Contribute to Advanced Search roadmap discussions with proposals grounded in user insight and commercial impact
  • Maintain deep knowledge of how search and AI discovery experiences work across consumer apps
  • Collaborate across engineering, design, analytics, data, and operational functions for smooth releases and post-launch optimization
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders on progress, blockers, and learnings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a product manager (4–5 years typical for strong candidates)
  • Demonstrated experience building search, discovery, or AI-powered features in consumer-facing apps (e.g., relevance tuning, query understanding, NLP integrations, recommendation systems)
  • Proven ability to operate independently on initiative execution: scoping, planning, and delivering across multiple priority streams within a quarter
  • Solid experimentation fundamentals: design tests, reason about metrics, connect product decisions to commercial outcomes (conversion, engagement, retention)
  • Comfort in a fast-moving AI-native environment with familiarity in AI tooling and directing AI-assisted workflows
  • Strong operator mentality: decisive, unblocking, and effective at keeping multiple pods moving in parallel
  • Proven track record of shipping products with measurable outcomes
  • Knowledge and implementation experience of modern product practices and experimentation strategies
  • Strong quantitative skills and comfort with data
  • Excellent critical thinking and collaboration
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Benefits

  • Health plans with options that may be as low as $0 per paycheck, including fertility and family planning, mental health support, and fitness benefits
  • Generous paid time off (PTO & sick leave)
  • Annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities (based on performance)
  • 401k with up to a 5% match
  • Commuter benefits
  • Pet insurance
  • Benefits vary by location, role, and level
  • Paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays
  • Paid sick time in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance
  • Short-term or long-term incentive compensation may be available (cash bonuses and stock program participation)
