Description

This role connects with customers by providing clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment. The Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative acts as primary customer contact and implements marketing strategy to promote products as led by the District Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
  • Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.
  • Develop and manage accounts, customizing discussions based on customer needs; ensure product access, resolve or triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow (Senior Specialty Representative).
  • Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, consistently building the brand with patient impact as the focus.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience
  • OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience

Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
  • OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)
  • OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales related)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry
  • Product or hospital sales experience in specialties including cardiology (and other listed areas)
  • Local market knowledge
  • Established relationships in the territory
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration

Benefits

  • Expected annual salary range (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico):
    • Specialty Representative: $89,816 to $121,602
    • Senior Specialty Representative: $109,631 to $148,325
  • Actual salary varies based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
