Description

You will help develop new features and modernize the backend of an independent online railroad ticket retailer. The platform provides APIs for multiple client types, including major Global Distribution Systems (GDSes), and is built with microservice architecture, extensive unit testing, CI, and frequent production deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Development of new features and refactoring of the ticket selling system

  • 80–90% backend development

  • 20–10% team meetings

Requirements

  • 5 years of backend development experience

  • 5 years of commercial software development on the .NET platform

  • Commercial experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure or AWS

  • Basic AWS exposure or strong willingness to ramp up quickly, including S3, deployments, and CI/CD awareness

  • Understanding and experience working with C#

  • Strong skills in Clean Code and OOP

  • Understanding of SOLID principles

  • Knowledge of WebAPI

  • Understanding of microservices architecture

  • Experience with unit testing (e.g., NUnit) and mocking frameworks (preferred Moq)

  • Experience with dependency injection (preferred Autofac)

  • Knowledge of Entity Framework or NHibernate

  • Experience working with any DBMS system

  • Understanding of Agile development methodology

  • Good spoken English
