The DAP Platform Solution Architect is a strategic technology leader responsible for defining, evolving, and governing the architecture of the Digital Assistant Platform. The role combines expertise in cloud architecture, platform engineering, AI systems, and enterprise governance to create a secure, scalable, and reusable platform that enables product teams to build conversational AI, voice-enabled solutions, and agentic applications. Working closely with engineering, security, and enterprise architecture, the Platform Solution Architect provides the technical direction, architectural guardrails, and long-term vision that ensure DAP evolves as a strategic platform.

About the Digital Assistant Platform (DAP)

The Digital Assistant Platform (DAP) is one of Lufthansa Group’s strategic platforms, providing the foundation for building, operating, and governing conversational AI, voice-enabled solutions, and agentic applications. It enables product teams to rapidly deliver intelligent digital experiences through a secure, self-service platform with reusable capabilities, standardized architectural patterns, and enterprise-grade governance.

Responsibilities

• Design platform capabilities that support conversational AI, digital assistants, agentic AI, and LLM-based workloads.
• Define network and security architecture patterns for cloud workloads.
• Define and evolve the target architecture.
• Produce architectural decisions and target pictures aligned with platform strategy and business objectives.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive architectural consistency across DAP services, APIs, automation, and integrations.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect.
• Extensive experience as a Platform Solution Architect, Lead Architect, Platform Architect, or Cloud Architect.
• Strong expertise in designing enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform architecture and strong experience with Microsoft Azure architecture.
• Experience with conversational AI platforms and digital assistant ecosystems.
• Experience with LLM platforms, RAG architectures, agentic AI systems, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Vertex AI and Azure AI Foundry.
• Ability to create architectural artifacts, including diagrams and technical documentation.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Self-driven, proactive mindset with willingness to take initiative.
• Collaborative approach and openness to innovation and continuous learning.
• Good command of spoken and written English (C1).
• Willingness to work from the Gdańsk office twice a week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of aviation, airline, or travel industry ecosystems.
• Experience with container orchestration and service mesh architecture.
• Experience with multi-cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with AI security, guardrails, threat modelling, and responsible AI frameworks.
