Data Solution Architect

We are seeking a Data Solution Architect for data-driven projects. The role designs and drives solutions that generate value from data using scalable platforms, modern technologies and machine learning algorithms. The Data Solution Architect supports digital transformation through enterprise data enablement and democratization.

Responsibilities

• Address business goals and strategy using best practices in data, solution, enterprise and business architecture, as well as software engineering.
• Analyze business problems and technology landscapes; identify significant requirements; design solutions; and create corresponding artifacts.
• Perform hands-on software engineering: write code and create data models in primary technology stacks; read and understand code and data models in non-primary stacks; and apply software design patterns and practices.
• Build on-premises and cloud data management environments where data and AI products can be produced and hosted, considering security, compliance and regulatory limitations.
• Build automation and operational components, monitoring, platform orchestration, batch and streaming ingestion, data access, metadata management, semantic layers, self-service and exploratory environments, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and capacity and cost management.
• Provide interfaces for data-flow and data-quality metrics, operational status and catalog operations.
• Guide integration and harmonization of data from multiple sources; develop analytical and real-time streaming data products; and manage the end-to-end data-product lifecycle with quality, security, privacy and scalability.
• Provide data technology consulting, help clients shape solution visions and support decision-making under uncertainty.

Requirements

• Experience in requirements engineering, solution architecture, systems development, deployment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of architecture, design patterns and technological landscape in at least 3 technology domains, such as Data Platforms, IoT, ML, Backend or Mobile.
• Profound knowledge of technology internals in at least 1 technology domain.
• Solid understanding of data and analytics platform architectures, data warehousing, business intelligence, data management, integration, security and operations.
• Experience designing, implementing, deploying, troubleshooting and re-platforming distributed systems on premises and in the cloud.
• Structured knowledge of the architecture design process, including requirements, quality attributes, technology selection, estimation, proposal verification and documentation.
• Experience in all software development lifecycle phases, development methodologies and best practices.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent English.
