Solution Architect

The project aims to develop a new generation of systems capable of reporting and disseminating information on incidents in real time. The solution will implement new requirements set out in a regulation recently adopted by the European Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the solution architecture, designing the overall system architecture and translating business, functional, and technical requirements into scalable, secure architectural solutions.
  • Design system interoperability and integration, including interfaces between system components and external platforms; ensure interoperability across distributed systems; select appropriate integration patterns and technologies; and maintain architectural consistency throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Lead architectural governance and technology selection by establishing architecture standards and best practices and evaluating technologies and solution alternatives.
  • Support system planning and software development by estimating development activities, analysing existing systems, contributing to solution design and change management, and ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Produce technical documentation and provide technical leadership by preparing architectural documentation and presentations, communicating decisions to stakeholders, and mentoring development teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in software architecture for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Higher education degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven expertise designing enterprise software solutions based on service-oriented architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) concepts, and microservices architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, including event-driven architectures, Apache Kafka, GraphQL APIs, and Redis, with experience integrating complex software systems.
  • Agile (Scrum) experience; ability to lead technical discussions, define architectural standards, mentor development teams, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • English at minimum C1 level.
