Description

Design, test, and develop enterprise-wide networking infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN, security, and supporting systems such as DNS, IPAM, and AAA. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network/security problems, enforce network security policies and secure remote access in collaboration with Cybersecurity teams, and coordinate with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) across all global regions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the business to address unique business requirements (production facilities, R&D environments)
  • Design, test, and develop enterprise-wide networking infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN, security, and supporting systems (DNS, IPAM, AAA)
  • Enforce network security policies, firewall rulesets, and secure remote access protocols with Cybersecurity teams
  • Collaborate with MSP to maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, security, and supporting systems (DNS, IPAM, AAA) across global regions
  • Act as an SME: drive continuous improvement, manage configuration, update HLD/LLD, and provide expert consultancy to MSP and internal teams
  • Define, streamline, and optimize operational processes with MSP, the ServiceNow team, and other internal IT groups
  • Lead automation efforts using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale network and security planning, including Cisco routing/switching and enterprise-grade security solutions (preferably Fortinet)
  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, STP, DNS, OSPF, BGP
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco products: Catalyst and Nexus switches, routers, and ISE
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise network problems (SD-WAN/IPSec performance, certificate management, WiFi quality, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, web application security (OWASP Top 10), and DNS standards
  • Minimum either Cisco CCNP or equivalent knowledge
  • Nice to have: SD-WAN deployment and performance troubleshooting experience
  • Nice to have: WAF implementations experience (tuning WAF policies, creating custom rules, mitigating false positives with popular products such as Fortinet)
  • Nice to have: Experience with hybrid DNS environments (on-premises and cloud integration)
