Description

Remote eCommerce Merchandiser role within the Online Operations team focused on stock management, merchandising, and online allocation.

The Merchandising function provides operational product management on all websites, including technical system setup for ecommerce stores. You will optimize how products are merchandised on page (categorization, filters, sorting rules, internal search, recommendations, etc.) to leverage user experience and KPIs such as Bounce Rate, Cart Creation Rate, and Conversion Rate.

The owner must build strong relationships, standard procedures, and service levels for seasonal and regular updates of the e-commerce catalogue, ensuring appropriate product exposure across categories. You will work closely with the commercial team on trading priorities, product launches, and promotional campaigns to increase conversion rate, average order value, and sales.

Key Accountabilities

Operational

  • Product registration and maintaining in Hybris
  • Price updates
  • Promotions set-up, including vouchers
  • Product catalogue maintaining
  • Pre-order process set-up
  • Selected frontend content management - upselling
  • Implementing and maintaining new e-commerce features: Trade-In, SC+, etc.
  • Managing Enhanced Partner Programme stores
  • Requests documentation in Jira

Strategic

  • Maximise, deliver, and optimise through effective merchandising and tactical product management to increase conversion and sales
  • Daily curation and maintenance of all the sites to ensure correct listing of products, offers and content
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to develop and test effective merchandising and tactical messaging together with UX and the overall customer journey
  • Generate and share ideas to optimise merchandising and conversion performance using a data-driven approach
  • Ensure all merchandising activity is correctly tagged to enable reporting on traffic, trends, CVR, and sales for campaign and offer activity
  • When required, assist with optimisation and personalisation activity with the wider .COM team

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of merchandising experience
  • 2–4 years of ecommerce experience
  • SAP Hybris experience
  • Significant experience identifying/delivering results and optimisation in a merchandising operations team
  • Strong technical and Excel skills
  • Strong people and project management
  • Planning, risk, and mitigation assessment
  • Methodical approach with high attention to detail/processes and routines
  • Ability to thrive and deliver in a challenging environment
  • Ability to support junior merchandiser with task execution
  • Degree level education or equivalent
