Description

This role is for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support large commercial enterprises in identifying cybersecurity risks, strengthening security controls, and developing practical solutions across complex IT and OT environments. The role combines cybersecurity consulting, security assessments, architecture, compliance, and client engagement, with exposure to technical teams and senior executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to cybersecurity consulting engagements and the development of innovative professional services solutions.
  • Assess enterprise network and system designs and implementations to identify cybersecurity gaps and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Plan, design, and implement cybersecurity controls aligned with applicable standards and frameworks.
  • Develop cybersecurity and compliance policies, procedures, and recommendations.
  • Produce detailed technical reports, analyses, and improvement recommendations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical teams, senior management, and executive leadership.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging cybersecurity technologies, architectures, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline, with 9+ years of professional experience, or 7+ years with a related advanced degree.
  • 2+ years of professional services consulting experience.
  • 4+ years of cybersecurity experience, including cybersecurity processes, tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-82, CMMC, ISO/IEC 2700x, and IEC/ISA 62443.
  • Cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, GICSP/GIAC, or Security+.
  • Experience with cloud-based IT and/or OT environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders ranging from highly technical analysts to executive leadership.
  • Nice to have: Experience assessing Fortune 500 IT/OT organizations and enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs, projects, and capabilities.
  • Nice to have: Experience with security architecture and cloud application implementations.
  • Nice to have: Previous SOC experience.
  • Nice to have: Process Control Engineering knowledge.
  • Nice to have: Strong understanding of cybersecurity attack surfaces, attack vectors, and targeted attack techniques, including phishing, malware implantation, perimeter and application vulnerabilities, and lateral movement.
  • Nice to have: Experience working with complex enterprise cybersecurity environments and multidisciplinary client teams.
