Description

Design and evolve scalable distributed systems in Go, selecting appropriate concurrency models and balancing performance with maintainability. Collaborate with Product Managers to turn business goals into actionable technical plans and delivery roadmaps, while proactively identifying edge cases, risks, and technical constraints. Represent engineering with external stakeholders, communicating technical topics in business-centric terms and challenging unrealistic requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable distributed systems in Go.

• Choose concurrency models and ensure a balance between performance and maintainability.

• Work with Product Managers to refine high-level goals into technical plans and delivery roadmaps.

• Highlight edge cases, risks, and technical constraints early in planning.

• Represent engineering in meetings with external stakeholders and communicate clearly with business context.

• Lead and perform code reviews for senior engineers to ensure quality, resilience, and reliability.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes to ship safely and faster.

Requirements (Must-haves)

• Go development experience: 5+ years

• Leadership experience: 2+ years in a leadership role

• Higher education in Computer Science (software development, etc.)

• Extensive experience with AI and implementing/configuring it within a team

• Fintech or banking domain experience

• Experience with complex integrations

• Golang for scalable distributed backend system design

• Go concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels, sync primitives)

• System design for high performance and maintainability

• CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

• English: Advanced or above
