Go Architect / Solution Architect (Go)

The project focuses on building and evolving a high-performance, scalable distributed platform designed to support complex business operations and rapid product growth. The system is developed in Go, with a strong emphasis on efficient concurrency models, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve scalable distributed systems in Go, choosing appropriate concurrency models and balancing performance with maintainability.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to refine high-level business goals into actionable technical plans and delivery roadmaps.
  • Anticipate and highlight edge cases, risks, and technical constraints early in planning to avoid implementation issues.
  • Represent the engineering team in meetings with external stakeholders, explain technical topics in clear business-centric terms, and challenge unrealistic requirements.
  • Lead and perform code reviews for senior engineers, maintaining high standards for code quality, resilience, and reliability.
  • Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes to help the team ship high-quality code faster and safely.

Must-haves

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on, production-level Go experience, including deep knowledge of goroutines, channels, context, the memory model, and concurrency patterns.
  • Higher education in Computer Science or software development.
  • Extensive experience with AI and its implementation/configuration within a team.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated/high-compliance domains.
  • Proven experience designing distributed, microservice-based, and/or high-load systems.
  • Strong REST and/or gRPC API design expertise, including versioning and backward compatibility.
  • Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and transactions.
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong Docker and Kubernetes knowledge.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience designing systems for high performance and maintainability.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Understanding of scalability, fault tolerance, security, and observability, including metrics, logging, and tracing.
  • Experience conducting architecture reviews and writing designs.
  • Advanced English or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, ClickHouse, or Redis.
  • Exposure to AWS, GCP, Azure, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Experience with Domain-Driven Design or Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Previous experience as an Architect, Staff Engineer, or Principal Engineer.
  • Familiarity with Java, Python, or C++ for cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience integrating AI/LLM components into production systems.
  • Contributions to open-source Go projects or internal frameworks/libraries.
  • Experience with SRE practices, including SLI/SLO, error budgets, and incident response.
  • Relevant AWS, GCP, or Azure architecture certifications.
