Senior IT Project Manager - Infrastructure & Cloud

Main purpose of the position

The Senior IT Project Manager leads complex, high-impact cloud transformation initiatives across multiple countries, driving the migration of critical infrastructure and technology services to cloud platforms. The role balances business, operational, and technical priorities in a matrixed global environment while delivering strategic transformation programs.

Success is measured by on-time and on-budget delivery, adoption, operational readiness, risk mitigation, and realization of expected business outcomes.

Key expectations

  • Lead large-scale cloud migration and infrastructure transformation programs across multiple countries, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, competing priorities, and regional requirements.
  • Engage senior business and technology leaders, facilitate difficult discussions, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions when stakeholders have differing objectives.
  • Coordinate country leadership, infrastructure and cloud engineering, architecture, vendors, and program sponsors to align strategic objectives and delivery commitments.
  • Build and maintain business cases, safeguard compliance, and provide transparent reporting on financial, operational, and strategic outcomes.
  • Apply project leadership, commercial awareness, communication, strategic thinking, and cloud and infrastructure transformation knowledge.

What you’ll do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale cloud migration and infrastructure transformation programs across multiple countries and business units.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and leadership teams, influence decisions, and secure alignment on priorities and outcomes.
  • Facilitate discussions and negotiations among business, technology, operations, security, and architecture stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain business cases linking investments, expected benefits, and realized value.
  • Track and report value realization, financial performance, risk exposure, and strategic outcomes throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Drive project governance, decision-making, transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and resources while balancing competing priorities and organizational constraints.
  • Coordinate global cross-functional teams, including infrastructure engineers, cloud specialists, architects, vendors, and country representatives.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve risks, escalations, organizational blockers, and stakeholder conflicts.
  • Ensure migration activities meet security, compliance, operational readiness, and architectural requirements.
  • Deliver executive communications and reporting on status, risks, financials, business impacts, and decisions.
  • Support organizational change and adoption to enable successful transition and sustainable business outcomes.

Key qualifications

  • 10+ years of project or program management experience delivering complex technology transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale cloud migration, infrastructure transformation, or enterprise modernization programs.
  • Strong financial management skills, including forecasting, CAPEX/OPEX, and vendor contracts.
  • Expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success working with senior business and technology executives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience building business cases, managing financials, and tracking value realization and benefits delivery.
  • Strong understanding of cloud transformation programs and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Background in cloud migration programs or data-center exit initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), servers, storage, virtualization, ITSM, and operational readiness.

Nice to have

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent project-management experience.
  • Understanding of enterprise networking, security, and identity and access management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Technical certifications such as Azure or AWS fundamentals or architecture.
