The Job Role as Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with Red Hat OpenShift experience to manage, automate, and improve cloud infrastructure, with a focus on OpenShift on Azure. You will collaborate closely with the development team for a global-scale integration platform that is integrated with the organization’s largest IT application.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure in Azure and on-premise environments, with a focus on Linux.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate infrastructure deployments.
• Support the largest application, which is connected to multiple internal systems.
• Monitor system health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Check_MK.
• Define and implement security and infrastructure standards.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and usage using cost-management tools.
• Manage and improve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, network, and application layers.
• Stay current with DevOps tools and trends and contribute to team process improvements.

Key qualifications

Must have

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar cloud-infrastructure role.
• Hands-on Linux administration experience and scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform services and architecture, including subscriptions, resource groups, computing, networking, and load balancers.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tools.
• Written and spoken English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Basic containerization knowledge, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cost, security, and performance optimization in Azure and Linux systems.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
