Digital Collaboration Engineer

Senior • On-site

Warsaw, MZ, Poland

The Job Role as Digital Collaboration Engineer

As a Digital Collaboration Engineer, you will help ensure the continuity, quality, security, and scalability of Microsoft 365 services. You will combine day-to-day platform engineering with project delivery, automation, governance, and tenant-to-tenant migrations arising from acquisitions. The role addresses a growing capacity gap created by organisational changes, expanding demand from business units, an increasing operational backlog, and a portfolio of new initiatives across security, collaboration, automation, governance, and user enablement.

Working within the Digital Workplace team and in close partnership with security, compliance, service desk, local IT, vendors, and acquired organisations, you will reduce operational and project-delivery risk, strengthen platform resilience, and translate business requirements into sustainable Microsoft 365 engineering outcomes while maintaining business continuity and compliance.

What you’ll do

  • Own day-to-day Microsoft 365 service operations and ensure platform stability, availability, and performance.
  • Resolve complex Microsoft 365 issues escalated by the service desk or local IT teams.
  • Administer core Microsoft 365 workloads and implement configuration changes aligned with security, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Lead assigned Microsoft 365 projects through planning, build, testing, deployment, hypercare, and operational handover.
  • Build and maintain PowerShell-, Microsoft Graph-, and API-based automation for provisioning, policy enforcement, reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, migration guides, and support knowledge articles.
  • Monitor service health, incident trends, and key platform metrics, and implement preventive improvements.
  • Partner with security and compliance stakeholders to implement controls, support audit readiness, and deliver remediation actions.
  • Plan and execute tenant-to-tenant Microsoft 365 migrations for acquired companies, including discovery, dependency mapping, readiness assessment, cutover design, migration, and post-migration stabilisation.
  • Assess identity, email, collaboration data, endpoint management, licensing, and compliance dependencies and constraints.
  • Coordinate migration workstreams with internal teams, vendors, and acquired entities, managing technical dependencies and business-continuity risks.
  • Contribute to the Microsoft 365 roadmap by translating business requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.

Key qualifications

Must have:

  • Several years of hands-on experience administering and engineering Microsoft 365 in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of core Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and their security, compliance, and governance capabilities.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex Microsoft 365 incidents and delivering configuration changes through controlled testing, deployment, hypercare, and handover.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API, with the ability to develop and maintain automation solutions for Microsoft 365 administration and governance.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and migration plans.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, including configuration, administration, governance, and troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience with Copilot Agents, including configuration, deployment, permissions, and integration with Microsoft 365 services.
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 user licensing, including license assignment, removal, license optimization, and troubleshooting licensing-related issues.
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 integrations during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, messaging, identity, security, or collaboration.
  • Experience planning or delivering Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, including identity, email, collaboration data, licensing, endpoint management, and compliance dependencies.
  • Experience with service health monitoring, platform metrics, audit readiness, and preventive improvement programmes.
  • Experience with SPFx/React, .NET/C#, SQL, Azure Functions, REST APIs, or Terraform.

Personal skills

  • Structured problem-solving and sound judgement in complex, high-risk technical situations.
  • Clear communication and confident collaboration with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and acquired organisations.
  • Strong ownership, prioritisation, and attention to detail across operations and project delivery.
  • A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
