MSP Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-tenant network security infrastructure across diverse client environments.
• Configure and manage Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), VPNs, SASE, and ZTNA solutions.
• Handle L2/L3 security incidents, network segmentation, and rule-base optimizations.
• Manage Network Access Control (NAC), identity integrations, and MFA policies.
• Automate routine configurations, patching, and backups using scripting.
• Support client technical audits, SLA compliance, and ticketing escalations.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with NGFWs (Palo Alto Panorama, Fortinet FortiManager, or Cisco Firepower).
• Solid grounding in enterprise networking (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPsec/SSL VPN, SD-WAN).
• Experience with NAC solutions (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass) and SASE/ZTNA platforms.
• Familiarity with MSP ticketing and RMM tools (ServiceNow, ConnectWise, PRTG).
• Basic automation skills using Python or Ansible.
• Strong troubleshooting and client-facing communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Certifications: PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 4/7, or CCNP Security.
• Cloud security exposure: AWS VPC, Azure Virtual WAN.
