SAP ABAP Team Lead

Become part of the team developing and supporting applications within the SAP Business Technology Platform. The role also involves providing technical leadership to the team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features based on best software development practices, ensuring clean code and clean design
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues and resolve bugs
• Write technical and user documentation
• Cooperate with the team, track its performance and needs
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics and provide required metrics to management
• Participate in the setup, improvement and implementation of development processes
• Provide design and architectural decisions

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in SAP ABAP
• Experience working as a team leader and mentoring an organization structure with 10+ people
• Agile (Scrum) development experience with an expert understanding of application and software architecture
• Strong ABAP programming skills, including ABAP OO and Design Patterns
• Experience in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development, including CDS and Fiori elements/SmartTemplates
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services
• Experience in BOPF, BOL and other ABAP frameworks
• Good understanding of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP Performance Tuning, Runtime Analysis Tools and Techniques
• Basic understanding of SAP systems functionality with good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional areas
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of an international project team
• English proficiency level B2 or higher

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAPUI5, SAP HANA Platform, SAP Cloud Platform and ABAP PaaS development techniques, including Side-by-Side Extensibility, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Cloud SDK and RESTful ABAP
