SAP ABAP Team Lead

We are looking for a Team Lead with proficiency in SAP to develop and support applications within the SAP Business Technology Platform and provide technical leadership to the team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features based on software development best practices, ensuring clean code and clean design.
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs.
• Write technical and user documentation.
• Cooperate with the team and track its performance and needs.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics and provide required metrics to management.
• Participate in the setup, improvement, and implementation of development processes.
• Provide design and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in SAP ABAP.
• Experience working as a team leader and mentoring an organization structure of 10+ people.
• Agile (Scrum) development experience and expert understanding of application and software architecture.
• Strong ABAP programming skills, including ABAP OO and Design Patterns.
• Experience in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development, including CDS and Fiori elements/SmartTemplates; SAP NetWeaver Gateway; and OData services.
• Experience in BOPF, BOL, and other ABAP frameworks.
• Good understanding of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP Performance Tuning, Runtime Analysis Tools, and Techniques.
• Basic understanding of SAP systems functionality and good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional areas.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of an international project team.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAPUI5, SAP HANA Platform, SAP Cloud Platform, and ABAP PaaS development techniques, including Side-by-Side Extensibility, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Cloud SDK, and RESTful ABAP.
