SAP Java Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable solutions using SAP and cloud technologies.
• Contribute to end-to-end implementation of SAP systems, including integrations and extensions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with client needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and actionable development tasks.
• Ensure software development best practices for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Support continuous improvement through Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Engage with clients to provide technical guidance and build strong working relationships.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the team’s technical growth.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an SAP expert with strong knowledge of BTP, ABAP, Fiori, HANA, Integration, OData, SAPUI5, ERP, Java, and S/4HANA.
• Solid understanding of modern cloud-native solutions within and beyond the SAP ecosystem.
• Expertise in ERP and/or S/4HANA with a good grasp of end-to-end business processes.
• Strong background in Java and Spring Boot, focused on building scalable and robust applications.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and event-driven design principles.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments with practical DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD and automation.
• Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client projects.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills; German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP, CAP, Fiori, or UI5, with opportunities to upskill.
• Exposure to additional SAP products.
• Interest in AI-driven SDLC processes.
