SAP ABAP Team Lead

Contribute to developing and supporting applications within the SAP Business Technology Platform while providing technical leadership to the team. Apply if you are ready for new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features based on best software development practices, ensuring clean code and clean design
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs
• Write technical and user documentation
• Cooperate with the team and track its performance and needs
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics and provide required metrics to management
• Participate in the setup, improvement, and implementation of development processes
• Provide design and architectural decisions

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in SAP ABAP
• Experience working as a team leader and mentoring an organization of 10+ people
• Agile (Scrum) development experience with an expert understanding of application and software architecture
• Strong ABAP programming skills, including ABAP OO and Design Patterns
• Experience in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development, including CDS and Fiori elements/SmartTemplates
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services
• Experience in BOPF, BOL, and other ABAP frameworks
• Good understanding of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP Performance Tuning, Runtime Analysis Tools, and Techniques
• Basic understanding of SAP systems functionality with good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional areas
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of an international project team
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAPUI5, SAP HANA Platform, SAP Cloud Platform, and ABAP PaaS development techniques
• Knowledge of Side-by-Side Extensibility, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Cloud SDK, and RESTful ABAP
