Senior Mobile Engineer - React Native, Platform/Infrastructure (all genders)

About the role

As a Senior Mobile Engineer in the Consumer Foundations tribe, you’ll join the Client Platform squad and work hands-on to help evolve the mobile platform. Alongside engineering and product teammates, you’ll help move a white-labeled, multi-brand application from a native brownfield React Native setup toward a more scalable greenfield architecture. This is a chance to build strong technical foundations, contribute to shared tooling, and help a growing engineering organization ship reliable mobile software.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the brownfield-to-greenfield React Native migration within a white-labeled, multi-brand application ecosystem.
• Work within the React Native monorepo to support concurrent development across multiple squads and maintain shared npm packages used across mobile and web.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in Bitrise and contribute to the evaluation of a future Expo migration.
• Design and extend end-to-end test coverage using Maestro to improve release quality and confidence.
• Build and maintain tracing and dashboards in Honeycomb to support data-informed decisions about app health.
• Partner with the Engineering Manager and teammates to review technical solutions and apply strong engineering practices.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, supporting application stability and reliability.
• Write clear technical documentation, including design proposals, ADRs, and lightweight write-ups.
• Own customer problems by forming a point of view, validating it with customers and data, and shipping solutions using AI as a force multiplier.

What you’ll bring

• Deep, production-tested expertise in React Native and strong knowledge of both iOS and Android.
• Understanding of React Native internal mechanics, performance profiling, native code bridging, platform-specific features and constraints, and app-store release processes.
• Ability to work across the full mobile stack to build and scale enterprise-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, in production or near-production work.
• Context-engineering capability: structuring specifications, tool configurations, and information flow so agents produce reliable output.
• Ability to decompose complex workflows across agentic components, identify unreliable outputs, and introduce appropriate guardrails.
• Proven experience managing and optimizing workflows, linting, caching, and build times for large engineering organizations of 50+ developers.
• Experience managing complex build configurations, white-label scaling, and monorepo architectures.
• Ability to operate autonomously, make sound technical decisions in ambiguous situations, and support teams during complex production incidents.
• Deep mobile engineering experience across the app release cycle, test automation, on-device performance, and platform UX conventions.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams through expertise, communication, and collaboration.
