Production Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Production Engineer to join an international technology team supporting critical middle- and back-office systems in a financial-services environment. The role is focused on maintaining production stability, troubleshooting incidents, and ensuring reliable end-to-end application workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support production systems and applications
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and identify root causes
• Analyse dependencies and workflows across interconnected systems
• Work closely with Developers, Operations, and Technology teams
• Take ownership of incidents and ensure issues are resolved effectively
• Contribute to improving system reliability, monitoring, and operational processes
• Support a growing international team working across different time zones
• Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional out-of-hours support

Requirements

• Experience in Production Support, SRE, DevOps, or Application Support
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Python, and Linux
• Good understanding of technical and operational processes
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to investigate complex issues and work towards their root cause
• Experience working with interconnected systems and production environments
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams
• Experience in financial services, banking, or investment environments will be an advantage
• Willingness to participate in on-call and occasional non-standard working hours
