System Administrator (Linux) in the EU

The project focuses on operating, maintaining, and enhancing a Linux-based application platform that supports multiple business-critical services. It covers infrastructure administration, system monitoring, application development, and the continuous improvement of web applications and integrations to support secure, reliable, and scalable operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, secure, and continuous operation of the meGov infrastructure and applications.
• Operate and maintain servers and applications.
• Administer SUSE Linux 12/15 environments.
• Monitor systems and perform system analysis.
• Operate and maintain Docker environments.
• Administer PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Manage incidents and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Coordinate with IT-DLZ.
• Ensure system security and availability.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator in technology or digital products.
• Hands-on experience operating Linux-based systems.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of Docker and DevOps principles.
• Experience with application clusters.
• Basic knowledge of IT security and system hardening.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
• Intermediate+ German or higher.
