The project involves testing complex backend systems, validating integrations across multiple platforms, and building a robust automation framework that supports frequent releases. You’ll have a direct impact on the quality of solutions used by a large-scale customer base while helping shape QA standards and automation practices across the team.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites
• Creating test scenarios and test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Performing manual, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Testing REST APIs and microservices-based applications
• Analyzing test results and reporting defects
• Collaborating closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA Engineers
• Participating in sprint planning, refinements, and release activities
• Supporting and improving CI/CD pipelines used in testing processes
• Ensuring high software quality standards throughout the SDLC
• Identifying quality risks and proposing process improvements
• Contributing to the continuous evolution of QA best practices within the team

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer / Test Automation Engineer
• Commercial experience in backend test automation
• Strong knowledge of Java
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, or similar
• Experience with REST API testing
• Practical knowledge of Postman
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Experience working with microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of Git
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Knowledge of containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Understanding of contract testing and service virtualization
• Experience working in e-commerce or high-traffic platforms
