IT Operations Engineer

Salary: 800–950 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: Hybrid from Gdańsk / Warszawa, with 3 days per week from the office

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on production operations, application support, incident and problem management, and ensuring the stability and reliability of production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the incident and RCA process, from issue detection through resolution to preventive actions
• Monitor production services, identify anomalies, and respond to potential issues
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tools
• Ensure Pre-Production and Production environments remain stable and aligned
• Create and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge documentation
• Collaborate with development and platform teams to troubleshoot issues and improve operational processes
• Identify recurring issues and implement automation to reduce manual effort
• Improve observability through dashboards, alerts, and log analysis
• Support service continuity initiatives and disaster recovery exercises

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support (2nd/3rd line), or a similar production-facing role
• Proven experience in end-to-end incident management, including RCA and preventive actions
• 2+ years of experience working within an ITIL framework
• Experience working in Agile environments with development teams
• C1 level of English
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Splunk, Sysdig, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Operational experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Docker Compose
• Strong Ansible skills
• Basic Bash and Python scripting skills
• Experience with Oracle and DB2 databases
• Working knowledge of ETL applications and REST APIs
• Experience with distributed systems and Kafka
• Java/development background for understanding solutions and integrations

Nice to have

• Experience with IBM DataStage in operational environments
• Awareness of Pega
• Awareness of Airflow
• Willingness to learn Pega and Airflow
