Project

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager / QA Lead to lead and coordinate quality assurance activities within a large-scale international banking project. You will ensure high-quality deliveries across multiple teams, drive complex testing initiatives, and continuously improve QA processes and best practices in a dynamic Agile environment. Working with stakeholders across countries and disciplines, you will help deliver reliable, scalable, customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate QA activities across the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Ensure required types and levels of testing are planned, executed, documented, and reported
  • Define, manage, and execute QA and test management activities for functional and non-functional testing
  • Drive integration and End-to-End (E2E) testing across multiple Scrum teams
  • Collaborate with ART leadership, Product Management, Architects, Release Management, business stakeholders, and Scrum Teams to align testing priorities
  • Develop and continuously improve testing strategies, approaches, methodologies, and best practices
  • Ensure readiness and availability of test environments, test data, and other critical testing enablers
  • Identify testing skill gaps and support team development through coaching and mentoring
  • Contribute to release-readiness assessments and provide quality metrics and recommendations for release sign-offs
  • Monitor test progress, quality risks, dependencies, and impediments; escalate when necessary
  • Ensure sufficient test evidence is delivered before production releases
  • Coordinate testing schedules with release and deployment plans
  • Improve test automation coverage, KPIs, maintenance, and operational efficiency
  • Communicate testing status, quality risks, and improvement initiatives to technical and business stakeholders

Expected competences and knowledge

  • Strong financial-sector domain knowledge, preferably in mortgage lending or home financing
  • At least 5 years of experience in a QA leadership, Test Manager, or QA Lead role
  • Proven experience leading and coaching QA teams of different sizes
  • Extensive experience in functional and non-functional testing; system, integration, and E2E testing; test automation initiatives; test environment and test data management; and QA governance and reporting
  • Ability to manage testing activities throughout the complete project lifecycle
  • Experience creating dashboards, status reports, and executive-level testing and quality presentations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Understanding of complex legacy system environments

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Spark and Scala
  • Experience with DevOps practices and automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience managing testing activities in a mainframe environment
  • Knowledge of AI-driven testing, advanced test automation, and non-functional testing
