Senior AWS Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement generalized, reusable modules using modern Python development practices for various countries and business settings.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles to create maintainable, scalable data-processing solutions.
• Collaborate in agile development teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
• Support migration of the suggestion-generation platform to a new CRM system, including use-case pipeline updates, end-to-end run checks, suggestion validation, and migration execution.
• Identify root causes in existing data and suggestion-generation pipelines and implement robust fixes, including debugging AWS Step Functions, Glue, Athena, and Lambda.
• Use modern Python tools and engineering practices to support code quality, testing, and deployment efficiency.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of data engineering experience with global or regional project exposure.
• Advanced Python programming expertise, particularly pandas for data manipulation and analysis.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and modern Python development tools and best practices.
• Experience with AWS Glue for ETL, Amazon Athena for data querying, DynamoDB for NoSQL storage, and AWS Step Functions and Lambda for workflow orchestration.
• Strong understanding of AWS-based cloud architectures.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and project management tools such as Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Veeva platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.
