Description

Seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Specialist to join a well-established cardiology practice. This employed position provides care within a regional health system serving Georgetown and Horry Counties, a growing area with a large retiree and senior population.

The seven-cardiologist practice provides a strong referral base and delivers both outpatient and inpatient cardiology consultation services. The practice is attached to the hospital, with access to a cardiac catheterization lab, hybrid OR, electrophysiology equipment, and cardiac imaging in the hospital and medical office buildings.

Practice Details

• Two current hospitals: Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, with planned expansion to a third hospital.
• 24/7 emergent PCI program and two cardiac catheterization labs at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
• One hybrid operating room at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.
• Four outpatient practices in Pawleys Island, Georgetown, Murrells Inlet, and Market Common (Myrtle Beach), with planned expansion within Georgetown and Horry Counties.
• Specialized device clinic for pacemaker and cardiac implant patients at the Pawleys Island location.
• CT cardiac imaging.
• Collaboration to expand community access to advanced cardiology care.
• Faculty appointment with rotation on the LVAD and cardiac transplant service in Charleston.
• Close collaboration with the heart failure team for advanced heart failure evaluations, care pathways, cardiogenic shock initiatives, clinical research trials, educational conferences, and fellow education.
