Job Description

A fellowship-trained pediatric dermatologist is sought to join a practice with two pediatric dermatologists and a nurse practitioner with extensive clinic experience. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced practice serving a 100% pediatric population within a tertiary medical center.

Highlights include substantial procedural work, laser therapy, and multiple specialty clinics, including vascular anomalies, neurofibromatosis, and tuberous sclerosis. The position provides consultation and treatment for tertiary and quaternary outpatient populations and patients requiring acute care in the hospital setting.

Academic appointments are available for qualified candidates. Teaching opportunities with medical students and residents and support for clinical research are also available.

Practice Description

The physicians in the practice are members of a growing, physician-led, multispecialty medical group. Call is shared equally among providers. The clinic is located in a state-of-the-art office building connected to the children’s hospital. Outreach clinics are offered, with an opportunity to expand telemedicine services.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Current Michigan MD or DO license
  • Current State of Michigan and federal narcotics licenses
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

The children’s hospital is a 241-bed, free-standing pediatric hospital with more than 350 pediatric specialists and subspecialists. It provides inpatient, ambulatory, pediatric emergency, and NICU services.

Grand Rapids is Michigan’s second-largest city, with a vibrant downtown, restaurants, craft breweries, arts and cultural venues, parks, and access to the west Michigan lakeshore.
