The RAN (Radio Access Network) Performance organization is responsible to systemize, design, implement and test software 5G features. The unit is responsible for the baseband SW within the 5G product - one of the most complex embedded product in the world.We are now creating a product responsible organization in Krakow, Poland, with one Layer 2/Scheduler section focused on 5G. Currently we are looking for a technical leader who will help us to develop 5G UPC SW (User Plane Control). You will be part of a world-class organization with some of the leading experts within the industry – you will join the baseband scheduler department and work with the 5G UPC product.What you will do:Support teams in development of new features for the 5G RANWork with UPC SW architecture changes to prepare for the feature's roadmapReview design solutions prior to implementationParticipate and approve strategic/complex code reviewsDefine and maintain product development strategy and architecture integrityWork with improving general quality of SchedulerDrive domain module, submodule and function level test strategyMaintain, define and prioritize UPC domain care backlogParticipate and support in system studySupport longer term prototyping and architecture initiativesThe skills you bring:Hands-on experience and knowledge in C/C++ programmingAt least 5 years' experience in development of real-time embedded systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesGeneral programming skills is an advantage, e.g. PythonKnowledge of 5G and LTE (4G) standards (3GPP) is an advantageClean code programming style and mindsetExperience in defining product architecture or complex implementation proposals is appreciatedExperience with AI-powered developer tools (e.g. AI code assistants, automated code review, AI-driven testing or debugging tools) in daily software development workflowMSc/Bsc level in a technical subject area or the equivalent level of knowledgeKeen interest in the long-term evolution and success of the Baseband SW productFind it stimulating with teamwork and be part of a global organizationGood English language skills in both writing and conversation is requiredWe work in a hybrid model - 3 days from the office in Kraków weekly.
